He said before that if a nurse assigned to him was only interested in being love-struck and not in work, he would want to send her back. But Avery Graham, who had arrived, wasn’t interested in him intrinsically, and over the past dozen days, he knew she held a certain dislike for him. Yet she had still endured his odd habits with a forced tolerance.
In reality, he found it adequate working with Avery Graham and contemplated that when he was back at the hospital, he could help transfer her to his side as a dedicated nurse.
The only reason Avery Graham was furious just now was because of what he had said in front of the patient’s family. It was indeed hurtful, but with such relatives, he could only say something that forceful to make the family truly resolve on a decision. After all, even as a doctor, he could only recommend to the patients and their relatives. It was, ultimately, they who made the decision.
Avery Graham felt he had acted fairly extreme just now and disapproved of him for doing so in front of the patient and the family. For that very reason, he chided her, which provoked her to explode.
Avery exhibited a particularly strong character when angry.
It was why when she yelled at him just now, he was genuinely taken aback.
Carolline Ruiz, nearly strangled by Avery Graham, managed to escape from her grip only to curiously ask, "How did you and Doctor Bernard Taylor end up here?"
"Oh, we are transporting a serious patient over here. The conditions over at Betrovd are inadequate hence we followed to assist," Avery Graham explained, momentarily forgetting her annoyance with Bernard Taylor.
