Domineering Love

Chapter 636 - 606: I, Deeply in Love with You

Cherish Turner felt a little thirsty and quietly said, "I’ll be right back," as she tiptoed out of the consulting room.

There was a little girl receiving an IV drip nearby, accompanied by her mother. Both were dressed simply, the little girl was smart and cute, while the woman looked quite thin. The bag she was holding was partially damaged, suggesting that they were not well-off. Unable to sit still for long, the little girl started to make a fuss, "Mom, I want to eat fruit canned fruit!"

"Baby, after we finish the drip, I’ll buy you some. We can eat it when we get home, okay?" the woman tried to persuade her gently.

The little girl kicked her legs and stubbornly said, "No, no, I want to eat now! I want it right now!"

The woman continued to persuade and took out a storybook from her bag. She started reading stories to the little girl, successfully diverting her attention and calming her down. Halfway through the story, the woman’s phone rang, and she stepped outside to answer it. She then hurriedly left the hospital, entrusting the little girl to a nurse, "I have an emergency and need to go home. Can you please watch my child for half an hour?"

"Sure, go ahead."

The little girl sat alone with her IV and quietly read the storybook she was holding. But she was too young and couldn’t read the words, only look at the pictures.

Cherish came back with a bag after a while. She had bought cups and poured some hot water. Thinking about the bitter taste that sick people have in their mouths, she bought some canned fruit as well. Sitting next to William Griffith, he took the can of fruit and handed it to the little girl beside him. The girl refused immediately, "Uncle, I don’t want it!"

"I don’t eat this, will you eat it for me?" William said softly, his handsome face becoming unexpectedly gentle.

He opened the can of fruit and handed her a spoon. The girl stared at the can but didn’t dare to take it. William glanced at the fairytale book in her hand and suggested, "Why don’t we exchange? I can read your book."

The girl thought for a moment and nodded with a smile.

As Cherish watched the exchange between him and the little girl and listened to their conversation, she saw that the girl handed the storybook to him in exchange for the fruit. However, the title of the storybook on the cover shocked her. It depicted a snow-covered path stretching through rugged mountains, leading to a castle in the snow. The sky was a deep blue, and the castle was in the shape of a beautiful queen’s face, with a teardrop frozen as ice at the corner of her eye.
