Chapter 629 - 602: He Bore it All for Her
"I’m leaving first, goodbye," Cherish Turner whispered softly, walking up to William.
"Goodbye," Hailey Griffith turned and responded in a hurry.
William didn’t mind William Griffith’s indifference and simply held the umbrella over Cherish. The two of them shared an umbrella and turned to leave. Their silhouettes, one tall, one short, looked remarkably compatible in that moment. However, this scene of them walking side by side was like a stab in the chest for William Griffith, causing a painful burning sensation in his eyes.
William Griffith, holding his umbrella, also turned and walked away but in the opposite direction.
Yannis Griffith frowned, speculating, "Hailey, what do you think is the relationship between this man and Cherish Turner?"
Hailey Griffith’s gaze drifted between the two directions, not paying much attention to his question. "All I know is that Sister Cherish previously stayed in the United Kingdom for two years. They might be friends she made there," she answered.
"Friends?" Yannis Griffith sneered, "I hope that’s all they are!"
Hailey Griffith gave him a sideways glance, "What’s it to you? Why are you always so nosy?"
"Why wouldn’t it concern me? If Cherish Turner were to fall for the green-eyed man, what will happen to our elder brother? And what about me? I still planned to return to France, I don’t want to take over the company!" Having been calculating for a while, Yannis Griffith certainly didn’t want his plans derailed.
