Chapter 588 - 583: How Far Apart is the Distance
The car drove along the long street, and Cherish Turner gazed at the scenery outside the window, looking back to ask, "How did you find the time today?"
William Griffith laughed and teased, "What, you didn’t want me to pick you up?"
"No," Cherish also laughed, "I just don’t want to trouble you."
"I happened to have a gathering nearby, and the timing was just about right, so I came," said William calmly, glancing through the front mirror at the group of people who had left.
"Doctor Liam really is a gentleman," said secretary Cheey, unable to hide her envy.
Smith, having drunk a bit too much, was slightly tipsy. "President Griffith, let’s call it a day. You should go back to the hotel and rest."
Everyone went their separate ways, and William Griffith also got into his car.
The car window was half open, and the wind whistled past. Yet, the words kept swirling in William Griffith’s ears - the phrase "how have you been recently", the phrase "I am married", the phrase "Doctor Liam really is a gentleman". Earlier, he told himself that she might be getting married soon, or that she might be joking. However, he knew deep down that she would never lie. When she didn’t want to answer, she would just stay silent, even if she was being truthful; she would only stay silent.
But, how was she actually married?
