Chapter 581 - 579: Save My Child_2
In the bathroom, Cherish Turner leaned against the washing platform, dry heaving and crying.
These days, he had always been so cold, like a kite that couldn’t be caught, making her feel insecure.
Now that he appeared like this, did he want her to not give birth to this child? Because of Sam Turner?
The more Cherish thought about it, the more upset she became, and her tears fell like scattered pearls. Warm water flowed from the faucet into the washing platform hole. She felt dizzy and exhausted, her body extremely heavy, and her vision darkened. The pain in her lower abdomen made her gasp for cold air.
Then she heard his distant, deep male voice through the glass door, "Cherish, I want you and also..."
William Griffith stood outside the bathroom, feeling more lost and confused than ever. His heart churned, torn by conflicting emotions. If there had been an ulterior motive in the beginning, everything that followed was an uncontrollable downfall. He tried to resist and struggle, tried to push her away, but he was hopelessly trapped, like being stuck in a swamp.
She was like a sunlit redemption, while he was too dark. Could she still accept him like this?
Hearing her crying, his thoughts became a chaotic mess. Finally, William spoke up through the glass door, "Cherish, I want you and also..."
But in the bathroom, Cherish’s frightened and hoarse cry for help rang out, "Save me! Please, save me!"
Stopping mid-sentence, William was instantly alarmed. Her cry made him feel deeply anxious. He yanked open the glass door, only to see Cherish slumped against the tiled wall on the floor. Her face became more and more pale, so white that there was no trace of blood left. Even the slight redness caused by anger just moments ago had completely faded, like a piece of paper submerged in water, scattered and nonexistent.
"Cherish! What happened to you?" William sprinted towards her and scooped her up in his arms.
"Save my child!" Cherish’s voice was soft as she strained to speak those words. The pain in her lower abdomen left her unable to bear it, and suddenly, she felt incredibly fearful. She felt something slowly slipping away, their final connection, their only connection that proved how much she once loved him, proving that she never regretted the past, only feeling a tiny bit of regret.
