She smiled and said, "William’s hair is so black and beautiful, just like your mother’s."
She always smiled, even when she left, she smiled.
But how could she still laugh and say those words, turning around and walking away without looking back?

Cherish turned off the shower and got a dry towel for him to dry his hair. As she wiped his hair, she laughed and said, "William, your hair is so black and beautiful."

"I told you to stop talking!" he said sharply, leaving Cherish bewildered. Realizing his unusual behavior, he immediately calmed down. Seeing her still holding the towel, standing there staring blankly at him, he reached out and touched her face, his fingers gently brushing her cheek. "Cherish, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have yelled at you..."
In Cherish’s eyes, his cold, handsome face showed a hint of helplessness. His words went straight to her ears, the three words touching her heart, causing her eyebrows to furrow. From the beginning when they first met until now, he had never said "I’m sorry." Not even once. But now he said it, and why did he say it? Why did he ask her to stop talking?
Cherish reached out and put her hand on his, his big hand always so warm, making her linger with affection. She whispered, "William, what’s wrong?"
William stared at her blankly for a moment, as if something came to his mind. He slowly let go of her hand, but her cold touch still lingered on the back of his hand. He didn’t say anything more.
William turned and walked out of the bathroom, and Cherish followed him, puzzled. She watched him sit down in the living room, and she finally approached him slowly. Still holding the towel, she crouched down in front of him and continued to dry his hair, silently watching him, but not saying another word.
