Chapter 526 - 525: She Wants a Home
On Sunday afternoon, Cherish had made an appointment with Mother Turner. She woke up early in the morning and tidied up William’s apartment, even cooking a meal for both of them. At ten o’clock, William got out of bed and opened his bedroom door. He was wearing pyjamas, his black hair slightly messy, as he scanned his surroundings leaning against the door.
The apartment was clean and tidy, with the floor shining brightly.
The aroma of food lingered in the air.
Cherish came out of the kitchen with a bowl of soup and glanced at him, "I cleaned the apartment, and the food is ready. If you’re hungry, you can eat now. If not, just heat it up later when it gets cold." She began to untie her apron as she spoke, leaving no thought of staying to eat.
"Going out?" William’s aloof and handsome face tensed up as he asked casually.
Cherish just hummed in agreement, not mentioning where she was going or who she was going with. She put down her apron and turned to leave. He stood in the bedroom doorway, watching her figure fade away, watching the apartment door close, his expression suddenly darkened, and he remained motionless for a long time.
After a while, he finally went to the bathroom to freshen up.
In the quiet, silent apartment, William sat alone at the dining table eating his meal. He took a sip of the soup and suddenly frowned.
The sunlight was shining, and at one end of the zebra crossing, Cherish looked so ordinary in the crowd that she could barely be noticed. After crossing the road, she suddenly paused and looked back.
It was the direction of the building.
But the apartment...was not the home she wanted. Returning to his side, if they were not to become a family, then there was no need at all.
