Domineering Love

Chloe Turner felt a wave of confusion, the words felt so familiar. It was still the same tone, a simple sentence, the three words "let’s eat together," when she was feeling disappointed or lonely, he would come to her with a lunchbox in hand. She didn’t look up, and softly said, "I want to wash my face first."

Chloe’s words made William Griffith sigh with relief, and the aunt happily went to prepare the meal.

In no time, Chloe freshened up, tying her hair back with a black hairband, looking more spirited. She finally walked into the living room, which was connected to the dining room, and could see William Griffith sitting there waiting. A few light and delicious dishes were set on the table, along with the fragrance of rice.

Chloe sat down in the chair opposite William Griffith, and the two ate in silence, without much conversation.

"Miss Turner, have some soup." The aunt brought out a bowl of fish soup, happily serving her a bowl and saying, "Mr. Griffith, have a bowl too."

Chloe took the spoon and spoke softly, "He doesn’t drink fish soup."

"I see." The aunt listened to her and said with a smile, "Then you two take your time eating."

Chloe nodded, and the aunt went into the small room to watch TV. She hunched over and drank the fish soup, but the words she had just said, if it were before, would have been very natural, but now they were not as effortless to say. Why did he suddenly come, could it be... Chloe sneakily looked at him, but his indifferent handsome face showed no signs of anything unusual.

While drinking the soup, she asked, "Don’t you need to accompany Cherish today?"

"There’s no need to meet every day." William Griffith said slowly, without revealing any emotions.
