Saving the World in an Apocalypse-Style Text Game

[The Dragon Nest before you takes on the form of a towering circular wall made from colossal black rocks. The perimeter of the wall is immense; from your position at this end of the canyon, you can hardly see an edge.]

[As you approach, you are nearing the arched gate at its base. The entrance is grand and wide, allowing more than a dozen wagons to pass through side by side. However, in comparison to the massive wall of the Dragon Nest, it looks quite small.]

[Perhaps it’s the unspoken threat of the Dragon Nest that acts as the best form of defense and filtration system; the gate is not guarded, permitting you to cross through the archway into the holy ground that every half-Dragon Man dreams of – the Dragon Nest.]

[Once you pass through the stone archway, the suffocating pressure of the dragon’s grandeur disappears suddenly.]

[The space that fills your sight is remarkably vast. The entire Dragon Nest is deserted except for a small peak of black in the distance with sterling signs of life.]

[You step forward and continue your way...]

[Soon, you halt your steps.]

[Before you is a precipice, a dark Abyss beneath your feet from which nothing can be seen, and standing majestically at the heart of it, a towering Lonely Peak.]

[The small peak you saw earlier turns out to be the topmost part of Lonely Peak, rising above the cliff.]

[You look downward into the Abyss, barely making out large shadows that circle the Lonely Peak, their roars of thunder sends chills down your spine and your body trembles.]

[You understand that it is an innate fear coming from deep within your bloodline.]
