“I can confidently repair four robots. The rest either have damaged AI chips or faulty power cells, and we don’t have the right replacement parts,” Suna said.
By the time she finished speaking, she had already repaired another unit.
“So including Xiao Ji and Xiao Er, that makes six robots,” Yang Yi said, turning to Xiao Ji.
“If all six work together, how long will it take to fix the three breaches?”
“One hour will be sufficient.”
“And if only two?”
“Approximately six hours.”
Xiao Ji answered without hesitation, its calculations immediate.
“Alright. Then Xiao Ji, Unit…”
Yang Yi glanced at the serial number on the robot’s casing. The last digit was 7.
“Unit Seven will handle underwater operations with me.“
“Once you finish repairs, send one unit to support us. The remaining two will go with Xiao Er to the inner hull and carry out emergency repairs from the inside.”
Having made the arrangements, Yang Yi turned to leave with the two robots.
“Oh, and the water level is rising at about 0.8 meters per hour. If it gets too deep, move up a level. But we probably won’t need that long, the ship should be fixed by then.”
“Wait. Why don’t you take this? It works underwater too,” Suna said, offering the deflection shield.

With that, he left the workshop with the robots and headed for the nearby elevator.
The elevator had twelve floors, covering both above and below water levels.
But in reality, there was also a hidden level, accessible only with engineering maintenance clearance. Without it, it couldn’t be reached.
Xiao Ji and the other robots happened to have that clearance. Otherwise, Yang Yi wouldn’t even know this underwater operations room existed, it wasn’t shown on any structural diagrams.
It was likely a space only maintenance engineers ever used.
Xiao Ji extended a mechanical arm and pressed it beneath the elevator control panel. Its palm interface connected directly to the system, transmitting a command.
The elevator doors closed and began descending, carrying a large amount of murky water with it.
After dropping more than ten meters, it stopped. The doors opened again, and the water inside drained out, mixing with the water outside, leaving only a shallow layer about seven to eight centimeters deep.
Yang Yi had been here once before under Xiao Ji’s guidance, so some of that water had been brought in earlier.
Aside from that, the room was completely sealed. There were no leaks at all. It was fully isolated from the rest of the shelter, connected only by the elevator.
Yang Yi stepped forward and pressed a control panel on the wall.
The room lit up instantly. It was a glass chamber, its walls made of high-strength transparent material.
Outside the walls, countless Drowned Ones clung densely to the surface.
Some floated like corpses, while others pressed themselves against the glass, staring inside.
“There are way too many of these things…” Yang Yi muttered.
He had already cleared out a batch earlier, yet they had returned in no time.
These creatures were attracted to sound and movement underwater, so using loud weapons against them wasn’t ideal.
Fortunately, this operations room had the perfect tool, electric discharge.
Yang Yi pressed another button. A powerful current spread outward from the chamber, electrocuting dozens of Drowned Ones nearby. They convulsed violently before exploding one after another.
Their signature explosions couldn’t damage the reinforced transparent material. Even the foul blood failed to stick, quickly dispersing into fragments that sank into the sea.
Yang Yi then adjusted the searchlights, aiming them toward the breach in the hull not far away.
In these dark, murky waters, without the searchlights, visibility was near zero, unless he used his third eye.
But he had already relied on it for too long. Continuing to do so might risk blindness, so he stuck with the lights.
“There are still around three hundred Drowned Ones. Not too many. We should be able to handle it,” Yang Yi concluded.
He and the two robots entered the changing room next to the control area. The diving suits Yang Yi had mentioned were stored there, and their item information was even visible.
Yang Yi chose the one in the best condition. The others were either too poorly maintained to function or of lower quality.
Aside from looking worn, this suit still retained its basic functions. It was equipped with two engineering arms and a rusted high-pressure oxygen tank, allowing for about four hours of underwater activity.
