Yang Yi tried to pull the unknown thing up.
The moment it broke the surface, he saw a swollen giant hand, pale with a faint blue tint, gripping his fishing line.
He didn’t need to see the rest of it to know what it was.
A Drowned One.
He had run into this monster right after arriving in this world. The memory was vivid.
The darkness didn’t seem to affect Drowned Ones at all.
A bloated head emerged from the black water, its pale and cloudy eyes locked onto Yang Yi with bitter malice.
The moment it saw him, it let go of the line and grabbed the Nightmare Star’s deck, trying to climb aboard.
It only managed to lift its head before noticing a dark muzzle pressed against its skull.
A shot rang, and its head burst like a melon. Its body went limp and fell back down.
Yang Yi was no longer who he used to be. Something like this couldn’t threaten him anymore.
Several vines caught the corpse and lifted it onto the deck.

Yang Yi paused when the message popped up. He looked towards the bow.
The old captain had pulled off his own head and was facing Yang Yi, jaw opening and closing. No sound came out, but he was clearly laughing.
“Want me to hand your head over to Suna?”
With that one sentence, the old captain hurriedly put his head back on and remembered the value of silence.
Yang Yi walked to the corpse, stored it in his ring, climbed onto the execution rack, and checked its effect.
