Jiaojiao wasn’t visiting Duan Xi’s company for the first time, but she hadn’t been here in a long while. She noticed there were quite a few new employees, including two girls in the design team she hadn’t seen before.One had short hair and a straightforward personality, carrying a bit of a tomboy vibe.
The other was a particularly petite girl. Jiaojiao guessed she might be less than 1.5 meters tall. She had a loli-like appearance, with a round little face that appeared very cute.
They were recently recruited designers, not from Qing University, but from the Academy of Art, introduced by Ruan Bo.
Though both girls had never met Jiaojiao, they knew the company boss had a girlfriend, and now seeing her, their curiosity was through the roof.
Jiaojiao took advantage of Duan Xi being at lunch; red-faced from bullying in the office, she came out for some air and saw the two girls discreetly sizing her up.
Her little face was flushed after being teased by Duan Xi in the office, but she remained poised before strangers, smiling as she greeted them.
Both girls were good-natured and of similar age to Jiaojiao. They quickly got along.
The short-haired tomboy was called Xu Qing, and the very petite one was Fei Xiaomiao. Jiaojiao felt this name suited her quite well.
For the entire afternoon, Jiaojiao was almost inseparable from them, enjoying herself immensely and momentarily forgetting about her fiancé entirely.
Duan Xi wasn’t pleased that her attention was on others; he picked up his phone and made a call. About half an hour later, a chocolate cake was delivered from the cake shop downstairs, topped with Jiaojiao’s favorite fruits.
Duan Xi had the cake sent to his office, caught sight of Jiaojiao eagerly coming in, but before he could feel proud, he saw Jiaojiao holding the cake and heading out.
