Ruan Jiaojiao slept all the way on the bus, and when she got home, she was refreshed. She first went to her room to take a shower and then changed into a fresh set of clothes before coming out.
Before she reached downstairs, she saw Ruan Jianguo buzzing around her mom like a bee.
"Honey, look, it’s not hot right now, and it’s still early. Let’s go and come back quickly, and just in time for lunch." Ruan Jianguo said, holding Shu Jiao’s arm, wishing he could carry her away immediately.
"The Civil Affairs Bureau isn’t going anywhere." Shu Jiao, being dragged along, said helplessly.
While in Xiahe Village, she had already agreed to reconcile and remarry Ruan Jianguo, but upon returning to Beidu it was a Friday, and the Civil Affairs Bureau was closed for the weekend. Even though Ruan Jianguo was anxious to go immediately after getting off the train, he had to wait.
Unexpectedly, the wait extended over a week as the zoo was opening, and Shu Jiao was busy helping out, making it impossible to visit the Civil Affairs Bureau until today.
"Mom, why don’t you and Dad go today? It’s a good day, auspicious." Ruan Jiaojiao saw how anxious Ruan Jianguo was and chimed in with a smile, though inwardly thinking that while the Civil Affairs Bureau wouldn’t run away, Ruan Jianguo was afraid she might!
"See, even our daughter is saying so, let’s go quickly." Ruan Jianguo threw Ruan Jiaojiao a grateful glance and happily pulled Shu Jiao towards the door.
Shu Jiao wasn’t unwilling to remarry. Since she agreed, she wouldn’t go back on her word, but she had been really busy lately. Now, seeing Ruan Jianguo so urgent, she couldn’t help but sigh but didn’t want to dampen his spirits, so she said, "Let me go get the documents first."
"No need, no need, I already put everything in the car! You just need to go." Ruan Jianguo.
