Jiaojiao buried her head in Duan Xi’s arms and let out a few exasperated sighs.
Duan Xi wrapped his arms around her and gently patted her small head, smoothing out her tousled hair.
Jiaojiao lifted her head and looked at him for a while, seemingly lost in thought. She then glanced at Ruan Lei and Lu Zishu in front, her expression contemplative, making the two in front uneasy. She then turned her gaze away.
Turning to Yu Rou, she demanded with a huff, "Rourou, when you have a boyfriend in the future, you won’t treat me like this, will you?!"
Jiaojiao never imagined that the gathering she had looked forward to so much would end up like this.
It was obvious that Li Chun had a flirtatious demeanor, his eyes unscrupulously lingering on her, and even though Duan Xi warned him several times, he kept glancing her way like a sneaky rat.
Jiaojiao couldn’t comprehend why Feng Tian was attracted to such a guy.
What was even harder for her to accept was that, for this kind of guy, Feng Tian was cold towards her. During the whole trip, despite her efforts to lighten the mood and engage her in conversation, all she got were particularly indifferent responses.
Jiaojiao knew that she and Feng Tian could never return to how they were. Their friendship had soured because of some nobody guy.
"What nonsense, as if I’d fall for a guy like that? Don’t worry, if any future boyfriend of mine dares to treat you poorly, I’ll gouge his eyes out myself. There’ll be no need for your brother Xi to step in," Yu Rou said with a smile, pinching her rosy cheek. "Don’t be mad, your puffed cheeks are about to explode."
Jiaojiao was amused by her words and nodded eagerly.
However, after returning to the hotel, her spirits were still somewhat low. She had left so happily but returned after such an unpleasant event, all because of an insignificant guy, making Jiaojiao feel terribly frustrated.
