So in the end, Duan Xi agreed with her idea of starting a zoo and planned to settle her affairs first before embarking on the venture. They’re currently looking for a suitable mountain.
The two chatted all the way home.
The first thing Ruan Jiaojiao did after entering the house was to check on Xiaoxue. Xiaoxue was brought back during her winter vacation in her freshman year; it was just a small pup then. A year and a half passed quickly, and the once pitiful little wolf pup had already grown up.
Though not as chubby as Rou Rou, its size is considerable. Plus, with little wolves on the way, its belly has become bigger, making it appear twice the size, walking with a waddle.
"Brother Xi, I’m afraid Xiaoxue might have quite a few pups this time," Ruan Jiaojiao said with some worry. Xiaobai was just a little egg back then, which she didn’t know about, and there’s likely no danger with Changchong laying eggs. But Xiaoxue, with such a big belly, always makes her nervous, and she can’t help but think of some bad scenarios.
"Awoo awoo!" Proud Rou Rou raised its neck excitedly and brought over a big chicken leg to Xiaoxue, letting it eat and replenish its strength.
For Rou Rou, Xiaoxue’s litter is considered an offspring in old age. It used to be very accommodating to Xiaoxue, and now even more so. Wherever Xiaoxue goes, it follows, no longer just the Rou Rou that only recognized chicken legs.
"You’re quite proud, aren’t you? Do you even realize how dangerous this is?" Seeing Rou Rou’s proud face, completely unaware of the worry, Ruan Jiaojiao poked its forehead with mild exasperation, then quickly asked when she saw Ruanlin Family coming over, "Grandma, did Dr. Chen come over on Thursday?"
"Yes, Dr. Chen came over. Xiaoxue is fine, the litter is a bit large but she’s in good shape, so don’t worry," Ruanlin Family replied.
Only then did Ruan Jiaojiao feel slightly relieved.
