At first, Ruan Jianguo praised it a couple of times, but seeing his daughter’s endless adoration for it, he started to feel a bit uneasy, and asked with a trace of sourness, "Does my little sweetheart like it that much? Even more than the golden turtle I gave you last time?"

The little turtle mentioned by Ruan Jianguo was a toy made of thin metal sheets. It was adorable because you could lightly tap it and its limbs and head would wobble.

Seeing that turtle, Ruan Jianguo instantly transformed back into Ruan the Magnate.

He felt his darling deserved better, so he had two gold turtles made for Ruan Jiaojiao to play with.

Shu Jiao couldn’t help but have her veins pop on her forehead at the mention of this.

The metal turtle could wobble, and at first, Ruan Jiaojiao didn’t know it was made of gold. She thought it was just like those one-dollar toys outside, so after playing with it, she didn’t put it away carefully but just tossed it aside casually.

Somehow, Tuantuan saw it. Tuantuan liked to grab sparrows, and was interested in anything that moved. It mistook the metal turtle for a real one and carried it back to its nest to play. After getting tired, it started gnawing on it.
