It’s summer now, and the demand for water is high. Xiu Xi, fearing there wouldn’t be enough water to drink in the afternoon, filled the water bottle again before following Ruan Jiaojiao back to the classroom.
In the classroom, Little Fatty and Lu Zishu were worn out from their commotion, both panting and squeezed together on one bench. Seeing the water bottle in Xiu Xi’s hand, Little Fatty’s eyes lit up, "Perfect timing, I’m just thirsty. Let me have a drink."
"Yeah, me too," Lu Zishu nodded in agreement, panting like a tired pup with his tongue out.
Ruan Jiaojiao was about to say that she had just filled a bottle for them to drink when she heard Xiu Xi behind her say, "There’s no water left." Saying this, he nonchalantly screwed the lid onto the bottle which had spilled water due to being overfilled.
"..." Little Fatty.
"..." Lu Zishu.
We must be blind!
The two exchanged a silent glance, then ran outside, not even bothering with a water bottle, just cupping water with their hands. They didn’t mind soaking their collars and came back still giggling.
While there was still time before class, Ruan Jiaojiao asked Xiu Xi about what had happened in the office earlier.
Xiu Xi didn’t hide anything, explaining briefly. After listening, Ruan Jiaojiao easily accepted it; after all, with his many golden fingers, possessing such an ability wasn’t strange at all.
But Lu Zishu and Little Fatty found it a bit harder to accept.
