Ruan Jiaojiao clearly understood his meaning, but she deliberately remained silent for a moment.
When both Ruan Jianguo and Shu Jiao became anxious, she then softly hummed in affirmation.
Shu Jiao, seeing this, slightly curved the corners of her mouth in a smile, her movements and gaze becoming even more tender, truly as if she wished nothing more than to pull her into her arms and feed her.

Having finished lunch early, Ruan Jiaojiao couldn’t fall asleep just yet. Ruan Jianguo was still busy, so after finishing his meal he left first, while Ruan Jiaojiao sat on the bed looking at the comic books Zhao Li had brought over.
As she read, bored to death, the bed beside her sank slightly. Lifting her head, she saw that Shu Jiao had at some point sat down next to her, a pair of small scissors in hand.
She looked up at her with a questioning gaze.
"Mom will trim the hair at the back for you. You can’t wash your hair for now, so we can only cut off the scab," explained Shu Jiao. Ruan Jiaojiao had bumped the back of her head, which had split open quite badly. It had been stitched up nicely, but the surrounding hair had been cut, and the blood had since scabbed over, clumping together and emitting an odor, which she herself despised, but not a single person from Ruan Family seemed to mind.
