Chapter 547: The Cabin by the Lake
After checking in, Logan and a staff member transferred the suitcases onto a shuttle cart. The exclusive cabin Calix booked for his family was located further from the front area of the chalet.
The bright red shuttle cart piqued Calliope’s new interest. She eagerly hopped on the open-designed cart once Calix told her so.
Leslie and Calix sat with Calliope in between. The little dumpling turned her body around, gripping the railings. She couldn’t wait for the staff to start driving the cart.
Logan settled on a seat next to the staff. He chuckled at the sight of the happy Calliope. The adorable little dumpling was a star among the bodyguards stationed at the manor.
"Is everyone ready?" the staff asked, his tone joyful. He looked behind his shoulders, glancing at the family of three.
"Ready!" Calliope exclaimed happily, earning laughter from everyone in the cart.
The staff began moving the cart, its quiet hum blending with the rustling bamboo leaves. Behind him, Calliope leaned forward, her eyes wide as she took in the scenery.
"Poppy can feel the wind! Wow~ Bamboo trees are so tall! Mama, Papa, pandas live here?"
Calliope’s question made Calix and Leslie chuckle. The curious little dumpling most likely remembered the cartoon show of a panda with his friends, living in a bamboo forest.
"Not here, my darling," Leslie hugged Calliope from the back, pressing her lips atop the little one’s head, "But, pandas do love bamboo. Maybe we can visit them in a zoo someday."
"Aww! Yay! Can we, Papa?"
