Chapter 497: To The Kindergarten
Calix informed Xander that he would give the latter the date some other time. He was still preoccupied with the pre-planned schedule with Leslie and Calliope.
Xander could only agree. He didn’t want to push Calix to back away from this arrangement.
On the coming Saturday, Calix and Leslie brought Calliope out. The little dumpling was so happy to go buy her new school supplies that she woke up earlier than usual.
For safety purposes, Calix brought Logan and a few other bodyguards along. Some of them dressed in casual outfits, mimicking civilians.
Calix would rather take various precautions than simply remind himself to be careful.
Now that Nicholas openly approached him, Calix needed to be even more vigilant than usual. His security team was still investigating Nicholas and Daniel’s past.
Including the time when Nicholas returned to the country six years ago, coinciding with the car accident in which the original Calix lost his life.
"Mama, can Poppy get a pink bag? Also pink pencils!"
"Papa, pink shoes, can? Poppy wants pink hair bands too ah."
"Can Poppy bring Mimo to school? Mimo will be lonely ah when Poppy at school."
A happy Calliope couldn’t stop shooting different questions within a short interval to Calix and Leslie, much to their amusement. They could tell how joyful their daughter was to enroll in kindergarten.
