Chapter 487: The One Who Pulled Charlene from the Abyss
The brand new week following meeting Ryken was fairly peaceful for Calix, Leslie and Calliope. As the hecticness of his schedule gradually eased up, he brought his wife and daughter out for night drives twice.’
At the same time, Calix and Leslie talked about Andrian and Harper’s anniversary banquet to Calliope. The former showed photos of the previous celebrations, revealing an amazed look from the little dumpling.
"Wowww! So much food! Poppy can eat that many ah?"
Unfortunately, all Calliope could see was the feasts served on the buffet table. Calix was so close to squeezing the little dumpling’s chubby cheeks but, only resorted to pinching her nose.
Despite everything, Calix and Leslie didn’t worry too much about Calliope.
Their daughter was generally a well-behaved child. They just needed to keep an eye on her if she showed signs of discomfort surrounded by the guests.
After all, their family of three, especially Leslie and Calliope would gain the most attention on that night instead of Andrian and Harper.
That was the story for another time.
On Thursday morning, Leslie was waiting for a special guest at Graceville Manor. After so long, including a few phone calls, she would finally meet Mrs. Wang face to face today.
Leslie made sure she dressed up well, matching her outfit with Calliope. She donned a cotton lilac dress, paired with a thin white shawl while the little one wore a lilac-pink smocked dress.
Calix begrudgingly went to work, not before he hugged and smooched Leslie and Calliope’s faces, earning laughter and playful slaps from the mother and daughter.
