Cursing Chase under her breath, Evelyn yanked the blanket away. She popped her head out, revealing her swollen eyes and messy hair.
"What did he want?!"
Evelyn rubbed her eyes, feeling the sticky feeling of her dried tears. Still cussing at the trashy man, she grabbed her phone from the bedside table.
Chase had been trying to contact Evelyn for the past three days whether through phone calls or messages. Because she blocked his main number, he resorted to using other, unrecognizable numbers instead.

At times, Evelyn blacklisted the numbers without accepting the calls or reading the messages. In the other, she ended up receiving the calls before blowing up at him.
"Should I go and kick his crotch? What do... eh?" Evelyn paused, slightly stunned to find Leslie’s name on the phone screen, "...Second Sister?"
Evelyn didn’t expect to receive messages from her second sister-in-law. Her brain instantly thought about whether Leslie needed any help.
