Chapter 321: The Nation’s Desired Husband’s First Runner-up
Calliope and Amelia sat side by side during lunchtime. Their immediate closeness touched the adults’ hearts. It was obvious how both children adored each other.
"Sister Poppy, look! Mia has Tuzi~ Can Tuzi be friends with Mimo?"
"Mia is sleepy. Sister Poppy, no sleepy yet?"
"Oh~ Sister Poppy is so smart! Can Sister Poppy teach Mia?"
Amelia tailed behind Calliope like a little chick following the mother hen. The latter also enjoyed being with her younger cousin. They even took a nap together in the afternoon.
"I didn’t expect Mia to get so close to our Poppy in just a short time," Calix chuckled as he recalled the two little girls’ interaction. His eyes fell on Leslie who had just lay on the bed.
"It’s great to see Poppy get comfortable... with everyone," replied Leslie, her voice sounding a little drowsy, "Hehe, I wonder if Poppy and Mia wanna... sleep together tonight."
Vernon, Lucille and Amelia would stay the night at the Xu family’s ancestral home as well, including Evelyn. The popular actress was on a short break after a long period of hectic schedule.
"They might," Calix shrugged, laughter imbuing in his voice. He approached the bed, sitting on the edge while looking at Leslie, "Take a nap. I think Poppy and Mia won’t wake up until later."
Calliope and Amelia were together with Old Madam Xu, napping in their great-grandmother’s bedroom. Lucille and Evelyn also had retreated to their respective rooms after having lunch together.
Old Madam Xu was more than happy to offer her bed to her precious great-granddaughters. She told her maids to prepare more pillows and blankets before Amelia and Calliope followed her to her room.
