Chapter 303: Dealing with a Stubborn Male Lead is Troublesome

Leslie couldn’t help but think of that possibility. She quietly looked at Calix who focused on his driving. He seemed unbothered by their sudden meeting with Violet earlier.
As if sensing he was being watched, Calix briefly stared at Leslie through the rearview mirror. Raising his brows, he smiled lopsidedly.
"What? Are you thinking about Violet?"
Calix’s question was replied to with a soft hum by Leslie. Before verbally responding to him, he glanced at Calliope. The little one was napping in the child’s car seat, unable to beat her drowsiness.
"I was just thinking... what if your friend still heard about it?" whispered Leslie as she stroked Calliope’s head.
Leslie didn’t doubt Violet’s promise. She was simply wondering about the plot shifting because of the changes brought by her and Calliope’s presence in this world.
Xander had already known her as Calix’s wife despite not meeting her physically yet. It wouldn’t be strange if he magically learned about Calliope before Calix had a chance to tell his friends about it.
’After all, Xander still has the male lead’s halo.’
Calix quietly listened to Leslie’s concern. He gently tapped a finger on the steering wheel, his eyes focusing on the road ahead.
Leslie’s worries were not far-fetched. Even though Calix subtly warned Violet and her assistant not to tell anyone—including Xander—about her and Calliope, his stubborn yet resourceful friend might still know.
