Chapter 133: Would She Ever Return Here with Him?
Riding the pastel pink scooter, Calix brought Leslie riding through the narrow cobblestone streets. The passing breeze fluttered the hem of their clothes and coolly kissed the tip of their noses.
"Wow~ Hahaha!"
Amazed by the second surprise from CEO Xu—riding a scooter at night—Leslie laughed in glee. She couldn’t stop looking around her as Calix continued zipping through the ancient streets.
Seeing the Eternal City from the huge open-top bus and a small scooter gave Leslie different views. Nonetheless, she appreciated both experiences.
They had just left the scooter rental shop. Calix told Leslie that their first destination was the Colosseum, followed by other places. They wouldn’t stop for a long time at each spot saved for the last one.
"Are you that happy?" shouted Calix from the front, infected by Leslie’s cheery laughter. He slowed down the speed, allowing him to sound clearer against the wind.
"Hehehe! Yes!" yelled Leslie, waving both arms in the air, "Mr. Xu! You’re the best!"
Calix’s smile had a hint of helplessness. He skillfully maneuvered the scooter on the streets, avoiding clashing with others.
Calix glanced at the side mirror of the scooter. Unfortunately, Leslie was not reflected in the glass, preventing him from seeing her lips break into a huge grin and laughing nonstop.
"We’ll arrive soon!" announced Calix, "Look! Can you see that?"
Intrigued by Calix’s exclaims, Leslie craned her neck, looking further ahead. The gigantic building of the Colosseum stood imposingly before them, its majestic silhouette shone against the night sky.
