Leslie unconsciously pressed harder on the unfinished bun. Blinking slowly, her mind began conjuring several possibilities.

Shaking her head, Leslie quickly chased the bloody image of her daughter dying from her mind. Shivers ghosted down her spine.
"Do you... remember everything?" lowering her voice, Leslie cautiously asked Calix, focusing again on him, "That accident... was there anything weird before it happened?"
Calix’s smile was imbued with helplessness. He admitted, "Actually, I don’t recall much. It was so chaotic. I just remember some of it."
While maneuvering the car on the expressway, Calix started telling his story from the beginning. The blurred images of his past memories resurfaced in his mind.
