Qiao Xi followed Huo Xingzhou out of the cafe, only spotting the car at the corner.
It was somewhat hidden.
The man opened the passenger door of the Rolls-Royce, and Qiao Xi slowly settled inside.
Her gaze followed Huo Xingzhou, as she contemplated how to voice the doubts in her heart, appearing somewhat preoccupied.
Huo Xingzhou walked around the car, sitting in the driver’s seat with a casual air.
His glance swept toward Qiao Xi, noticing her being lost in thought, then leaned over to pull her seatbelt, preparing to fasten it for her.
Qiao Xi’s nose caught a crisp, subtle fragrance as her eyes flickered back to consciousness, meeting the man’s cool visage.
Her breath hitched.
Suddenly, she heard a click sound; the seatbelt was fastened.
Feeling Huo Xingzhou pulling away, she instinctively reached out and grabbed his tie, drawing him closer.
