Chapter 385: Evangelion Flashbacks
"Ready!" everyone shouted in unison.
"Good. Basic safety protocol should’ve been drilled into your heads in boot camp, yes?" Frederick asked again.
"Yes sir!"
Of course, Rael chimed in as well. How could he tell his teammates that he joined the Blazing Sun Knight Brigade an hour ago?
"Excellent. I’ll go in first. Wait exactly 5 seconds, then all of you come in after me. Understood?" Frederick said sternly. "It must be 5 seconds. No more, no less."
Hmm... why? Rael mused.
All of a sudden, he felt a slight connection form inside his mind, and it didn’t take a genius to know who this connection belonged to.
Burger?
[That’s me,] Burger replied confidently. [I see you’re finally in your main body. But what gives? Why are you still in this place?]
After a few moments and after sorting through Rael’s memories, Burger let out a sigh.
[Another bold idea, huh? Sure,] Burger said, unconvinced. [Also, inspect me.]
Rael tilted his head and did just that.
