"Hypothetically..." Rael trailed off, meeting her puzzled gaze. "Let’s say there was a way I would be able to give you that bloodline... hypothetically, of course. But the cost would be 1 trillion Trell. So... again, just hypothetically, would you take it?"

It almost looked like she didn’t believe a single word that had come out of his mouth.

"Well, if we’re talking in hypotheticals, then yes, I would cough up 1 trillion Trell for that bloodline. But again, that’s only wishful thinking. If it really was that easy, then I would pay you 10 trillion Trell. No, scratch that, 100 trillion Trell would be worth it."

Rael listened as she went on a sarcastic rant. Again, it was clear that whenever she was sarcastic, it meant she was feeling vulnerable.

That alone told him how much this meant to her, so he extended his hand, grabbing hers.

Lilith was slightly startled and, in the next moment, he sent the request.
