Heck, you can even replace the Mana Stone in the lamp and make it last for weeks, months, maybe even years,” Rael said, narrowing his eyes. “And if you set up the right mechanism to funnel mana from the air and insert it into the little devices, you’d never need to manually maintain them.”
He cleared his throat and continued. “There are so many ways to use raw magic, but then again… we, back in Celestara, don’t exactly have the people who have a knack for this stuff. You, on the other hand, do.”
“You say that… but this seems complicated,” Oriana remarked, inspecting the lamp in great detail, a frown forming on her face. “Or maybe not…?”
“Sister, while I get you might see this as a potential boon, think about the others,” Luna chimed in. “We are talented, sure, but do you think we’ll be able to make these contraptions he’s talking about soon? It’ll take us years to become self-sufficient.”
“I agree.” Sophie nodded. “I don’t care too much about what happens. I can always change my electric furnaces to something powered by coal… or magic. But in the end, the others aren’t going to have as easy a transition as we will.”
The triplets chatted amongst each other, arguing the same point over and over again.
He knew this would take a while, but drastic change was never instant. It took time, and time was what Aztera would have once Celestara came into power.
Linlin’s group, Radiant Dawn, had someone who could deal with the Evangelists, so if Rael were to replace their leadership, that would be another country under their belt.
The others are simple to take over too… on paper, anyways, Rael mused.
He stood up, dusted himself off, nodded at each of the triplets, and turned around.
“I’m going to go finish this war now. Once I’m done, I hope we’ll be on a more common ground.”
