Chapter 209: Potion Shop
The city was covered in dozens of coral, and most houses resembled huts. Yet despite all that, the farther he walked toward the center, the more the houses seemed like the ones outside the river.
The architecture resembled a distinct blend of all the continent’s countries combined, and if Rael recalled, that was because this river had once run through the entire continent.
Only after the war against the barbarians did the river shrink and pass through just Aztera and Drivania.
As for the buildings that were destroyed, they sank into the river, and some people who were desperate enough for freedom collected those buildings, set up magical barriers underneath the river, and began living there.
That had been the case for the last couple of centuries, and since it was so remote, most people didn’t even know these underwater cities existed.
Though… I kinda found out by accident. Rael scratched his cheek.
Whenever a player died, their body disintegrated into particles. However, their vision still remained for a few minutes as a sort of death timer.
Therefore, when Rael died over the river while he was on his way to look for the Duke’s daughter, he accidentally sank deep enough to see the lights of this city.
And all that he needed to do from there was simply get the right equipment and go down.
But this time around, he was a bit more sturdy, so Rael simply walked through the streets, earning strange glances from the people around.
While they looked the same as normal humans, the only difference was the fins on their chests that helped them breathe outside the barrier.
