He stared at the friend request for a few moments before turning to Zafira, who was staring into the air with a frown.
But upon noticing his gaze, she slowly nodded.
"Let’s accept it. It probably won’t hurt us in the long term," she said plainly. "Besides, we’ll need to get into contact with her after we’re done with the war, right?"
"Mhm." Rael nodded and swiftly accepted the friend request.

He had 10 friends now, surprisingly. Though he rarely talked to any of them.
Especially the two in the Depths. I’ll have to pay them a visit soon, Rael thought with a hum and began walking again.
The moment they reached the end of the palace exit, they were greeted face to face by one of the paladins from earlier.
It was the same one who had raised his sword against Rael.
"I will be escorting you two around the city and offering protection. Do you refuse?" the paladin asked.
Zafira shook her head. "Just follow behind us. We don’t really need protection."
