But every time he tried to get inside the car, Nyzzara simply stopped the entire march and didn’t show them the way.

Safe to say, he was pissed, and Zafira even more so.

“Hey…” He leaned in to Zafira’s ear, clutching her hand a bit tighter. “Do you think she has a grudge on you?”

“Yeah…” Zafira whispered back with a sigh. “The way she looked at me after I told her she smelled bad was a dead giveaway. Honestly, I can’t say I like her, but her cooperation is a good thing to have.”

“Agreed.” Rael nodded.

Just as he was about to separate, Zafira tightened the grip on his hand, almost as if she didn’t want him to move away.
