"Do you know what you did wrong?" Rael scolded, keeping his hands on the wheel.
However, the Beast merely shook its head. "Nope. I saw food, I ate it. Unless you were hungry?"
"That's not the point," Rael replied with a sigh. "Could you please stop eating everything you see? Those people were Caedia's to kill, yet you swooped in and ate them."
"Ah..." A serious expression appeared on the Beast's face as it turned toward the sulking Caedia. "I apologize. It was not my intention to get in between you and your revenge."
"I-It's alright," Caedia muttered with a trembling voice. "It's all in the p-past now. They weren't my only enemies anyway."
"Excellent." The Beast nodded, turning to Rael. "We are lost, in case you didn't notice."
"Hm?" Rael tilted his head, once again paying attention to the road.
He had kind of left the autopilot to drive, and he kept his hands on the wheel to look cooler, but now he felt stupid.
After all, the car was moving in circles.
Rael had noticed something off ever since he entered this weird forest. The trees had no leaves, and the sheer amount of bad vibes he got here was insane.
Nonetheless, according to the map, he was basically there already.
The monument was in the northern part of the forest, and from the paved path he had been following, it seemed promising.
