Chapter 92: Totally Small Upgrades, And Fourth Monument
Rael didn't believe in jinxing himself.
He really didn't.
And of course, his words didn't come back to bite him in the ass this time.
Rael crossed the bridge and slowly made his way up the side of the mountain before finally arriving back where he started.
To the south was the abandoned lighthouse, and to the north was the monument as well as Karnyx.
Therefore, Rael swiftly made his way there while putting the car on autopilot.
Meanwhile, he turned toward Seryn, who had been muttering some gibberish he couldn't understand.
"Man, if you're hungry, just say so. I'll get you some food."
"It's not that." Seryn shook his head. "I'm trying to mimic the mouth movements of whoever was controlling my body."
Rael raised a brow in interest. "Oh, so you know you were being controlled?"
"After I had a good look, I found some irregularities in my mind," Seryn replied. "I've lost consciousness four times now, and each time, there was a gap in my memory. This time, it only confirmed my earlier suspicions."
"I see..." Rael nodded with a sigh. "It must suck, though, I hope you get through it."
