Alix did not want to stay for the rest of the funeral but she did so out of courtesy. There was no need stirring the pot at a funeral anyway.

Now, she spent her time training, composing music and just living.

"Mafan, let’s take some of their money as well, i should lend a hand to the schemer." She turned to Caishen and gestured for him to take her hand. "I have to use the bathroom again."
She was feeling more pressure on her bladder and as reluctant as she was to step into the Shen house thanks to the unfortunate encounter with Shen Biao, she had no choice.
When they stood up, they drew attention from the other Tai’s. Everyone knew that Alix was close to the determined date of birth so every movement of hers was watched closely.
"Is it time?" Grandpa Tai leaned forward.
That part eager and part anxious look on his face meant that he was ready to leap into action and carry her away from this venue immediately if his grand babies were on the way.
"Not yet, she just needs to take a walk." Caishen told him.
