Chapter 18 - 17: Wife, Spare Me!
"No! Let go! Let go of me!" Ye Xin struggled to break free.
Yang Chen smiled wickedly, "Wife, it’s our first day of marriage; by tradition, we should consummate it."
"I already said no!" Ye Xin’s demeanor changed, her pretty face turned frosty, and her beautiful eyes glinted with menace as she gazed at Yang Chen, "Though we have our marriage certificate, there’s no emotional bond. If you’re after that, then wait until our feelings reach that stage."
Yang Chen thought for a moment then said, "That does make sense."
He didn’t want to force it. Although Ye Xin had aroused his passions, he was not someone who let his desires control him. If this woman in front was truly the one betrothed to him as a child, he’d wait, as Ye Xin advised, for things to happen naturally.
But for now...
Yang Chen smirked, "I should at least collect some interest, right?"
With that, Yang Chen puckered his lips and attempted to kiss Ye Xin.
"Get lost!" Ye Xin yelled suddenly, her whole demeanor suddenly shifted.
Yang Chen felt a surge of immense power from Ye Xin’s arm, flinging him aside.
At the same time, Yang Chen suddenly sensed an extreme danger—it felt like being targeted by a sniper rifle. He quickly assumed a defensive posture.
