Chapter 81 Cheating
The morning sun gradually rose, and the bright sunlight did little to dispel the gloom within the office.
The atmosphere in the office was terrifyingly oppressive.
Yu Nian braced one hand on the table, pressing down a test paper, with her soft, tender face tense, she said coldly, "Wouldn’t the invigilating teacher know best whether Rong Zhi cheated or not?"
All three invigilators from the day of the school math competition were in the office. Apart from Old Li, who was on Rong Zhi’s side, one remained neutral, and the other was extremely skeptical.
Yan You: "Well... Rong Zhi didn’t cheat in the exam hall, but whether he looked at the paper before the exam started, we’re not sure."
Yu Nian frowned, "There’s no need to speak carelessly about unclear matters. I will report to Director Yao to get to the bottom of this. Ultimately, I’ll state that Rong Zhi did not cheat!"
"Just because you say he didn’t, he didn’t? Where’s the evidence?" Zhou Zhongming crossed his arms, sneered at Old Li, and then looked at Yu Nian, who spoke confidently, with a mocking smile.
He remarked that it couldn’t be a coincidence that a person of Rong Zhi’s morally dubious character could score full marks. Clearly, it was due to cheating.
Old Li’s lips were dry, his eyes somewhat tired; touching Zhou Zhongming’s skeptical gaze, he was about to retort, but his throat suddenly tickled, and he covered his mouth and coughed heavily.
"Report."
A knock on the door and the announcement simultaneously sounded. The office fell silent and everyone turned to look at the door.
