Chapter 13: Interrogation
Inside the ward.
Rong Zhi was nestled on the sofa not far from the hospital bed, holding a phone in one hand, legs crossed on the coffee table. Her fingers lazily tapped on the phone case, eyes filled with a cold arrogance, a rebellious curve on her lips.
Zeus’s voice was in her ear.
"...I received the address you gave me. The police have already been dispatched. It should take an hour to get results..."
He paused, cautiously saying: "President Fei, for such a small matter, you actually had to handle it personally."
Not long ago, Rong Zhi had said she would leave this matter entirely to him.
Yet, less than two hours later, Rong Zhi sent over a string of addresses, precise down to the house number, almost throwing a list at his face, ordering him to make the arrests.
Zeus, having worked with her many times, knew well this master’s temperament, as reckless and unrestrained as her name suggested.
Even having known her for so long, Zeus dared not claim he had truly understood her ways.
For her to take action personally, unless the task was difficult or peculiar, it meant someone had offended her!
Such a situation was akin to pulling a tiger’s whiskers, asking for death.
