Tang Jingming seemed completely oblivious to how others saw him as he placed the menu down and flashed a big, bright smile. "But since Miss Xie is so enthusiastic, I'd feel bad for refusing. Let's order Sister Shi a piece of cake."
Xie Fangfang had never encountered someone so shameless, but she couldn't take back what she had said.
She glanced at the price and her smile immediately stiffened.
Tang Jingming was still asking, "Is that okay with you, Miss Xie?"
Faced with the onlooking crowd, Xie Fangfang's smile twitched, and she had no choice but to say, "No problem."
"Really straightforward and generous," Tang Jingming gave a thumbs-up, seemingly afraid she might change her mind, and quickly said, "Don't worry, I'm not the kind of person who takes advantage of others. Xie Fangfang held back and replied, "It's a cappuccino."
"Oh, same difference," Tang Jingming waved his hand grandly, "Then let's have that with extra sugar. I'm an only child at home, can't handle bitterness."
Xie Fangfang felt the gaze of everyone around as if encircling her. But looking at Tang Jingming's looks and his outfit, she gritted her teeth and managed to squeeze out a smile that was still somewhat tender. "This is quite sweet on its own, not bitter at all."
