"Xi Qu, no fighting." Bai Yan stopped him before he could act, her eyes gentle as she looked at Xiao Jinsheng, "Jinsheng, I mean no harm. We’re just here to check on you, and introduce Xi Qu."
"Met them, no big deal." Xi Qu chimed in.
Bai Yan gently patted him, speaking to Xiao Jinsheng, "Since we’ve met, Xi Qu and I will head back now."
"Oh, by the way." Bai Yan took a few steps and then turned back with a smile:
"I was going to help you with your task last time, but something came up, so I left with Jin Ao and the others. But next time, when you have a task, call me first. With Xi Qu here now, we can assist you."
"Not necessary." Xiao Jinsheng replied coldly.
