"Tryson... should we really be doing this?" Angel’s voice trembled with uncertainty, though the pleasure coursing through her body made it hard to focus on anything else.
But just as another wave of sensation threatened to consume her, she suddenly twitched—something was off. The warmth, the movement... had stopped.
A small frown formed on her face as confusion settled in.
What was he doing? Why had he paused?
Her lashes fluttered as she opened her eyes, and that was when she saw him—Tryson, motionless, gazing deeply into her soul as if he could see every hidden thought she tried to bury.

"I don’t see why there should be any other reason," Tryson said with a calm certainty in his voice, the words hanging in the air between them.

"I thought you said you didn’t want to do this because of the baby?" Her voice was tentative, unsure, as her words cut through the heavy atmosphere.
