Chapter 12: Leave The Company
As soon as Angel returned from the hospital, she went straight to her room and remained absent from the rest of the house for the entire day.
As evening fell, Tryson instructed Karina, the chief maid of the household, to deliver Angel’s meal.
However, Angel continuously refused to accept the food, remaining silent and keeping her door shut.
Soon after, Tryson found himself outside her door, knocking, having been updated by Karina about Angel’s unwillingness to eat.
Karina and a few maids stood by with a cart carrying Angel’s meal, waiting quietly as they observed their boss knocking at Angel’s door.
"Angel, please open up. You need the energy for both you and the baby," Tryson said casually, his words causing the maids to gasp softly in surprise.
The announcement of Angel’s pregnancy was thrilling, but the eavesdroppers realized they had to keep it under wraps to avoid losing their jobs—at least until the timing was perfect for sharing the news.
"Angel," Tryson called out, but the room remained silent.
Tryson was starting to get anxious. "Where’s the house key?" he asked Karina.
"Ah, yes, sir, it’s right here," Karina replied, instructing one of the maids to fetch it. Shortly after, Tryson received the key.
As soon as he stepped into the room, he saw Angel lying on the edge of the bed, her hair spread out across it. She appeared pale and confused.
