I Am Tired Of Being A Hero

Chapter 240: John

"You know, you never told me about your boyfriend. Where did you guys meet? When? How much do you know about him?"

Lisa chuckled, "What’s up with you? Why do you want to start acting like some big bro? Our first meeting was magical. I will tell you after the case. We are here, so get down Mr. Investigator Ravi."

It was morning and downtown was even more silent than the Center. The two of them walked along the pavement to the crossroads before stopping at an open-air stall with a plastic tent.

It was a spicy crayfish store. Lisa grinned and walked up to the woman, "Hello..."

"We have nothing to say to the police. We don’t know anything." The woman was middle-aged with a burn scar on her cheeks, she wiped the table down, and her entire body gave off the hostility of not wanting to say anything to them.

"Nothing. Even about a license that has not been renewed for two years or the fake documents used to bypass a town sanitation’s law." Lisa said with a faint smile.

The woman turned fully and stared at her for a few minutes before she signed, "Let us go inside."

Inside was the back of the stall, a small barely can fit space for three people with boxes and other stored cooking items.

"If it is about Rex, everyone is saying that it was Palo who did it."

Rex, Palo? Ravi blinked, what was this woman talking about?

"We are not here for drugs. There is a man who comes here once every three days to order spicy crayfish. He is around 5 ’10, handsome, neat, and claims he is working uptown. Whenever he comes, he would sit at the edge of the tent and watches the nightclub, likes to chat, and asks a lot of questions. He is not rude, unlike people here."
