I Am Tired Of Being A Hero

Chapter 210: The storage room {Slight M)

In the end, it was decided that they would have a barbecue at a very good barbecue spot that was recommended by their Sergeant. What was really surprising was that Arlen indeed went upstairs and when he came down, he was holding a blue card in his hand that made the entire room holler with joy.

It was unanimously agreed that their barbecue spot would be changed to a more expensive one. The Chief was generally stingy so now, he had given his card up for the group, they were determined without a doubt to splurge as much as they possibly could for one day.

Even Ravi who had initially had no interest in the barbecue suddenly started looking forward to it. He looked at the man in the office whose head was narrowed as he reviewed the reports of last week’s cases and he looked back at his work. His fingers flew so fast as he hurriedly finished everything.

He printed it out, put it in a file and hurried to Arlen’s office. The moment he opened the room, the sweet scent of vanilla danced below his nose.

Arlen looked up at him and Ravi swallowed.

"I am here to submit a report."

Arlen arched a brow at him. His flattened palm lay inches away and Ravi was so tempted to brush his hand over it, just to feel a hint of that warm heat.

His eyes were filled with a knowing tease, "Officer West, you have always loved to submit all your reports together. When did you start to submit them one after the other or did you come here for another reason?" Arlen smiled at him and Ravi could feel his heart beating faster.

The Adam’s apple on his slender neck rolled, as if he was suppressing something.
