Chapter 199: The Number Tag
The car came to a stop ten minutes later.
"Wow!" Sage said as he came down from the car. Asher also mirrored his expression as he looked at the school building. It was a sprawling seven-storey building with stone and brick walls, adorned with pointed roofs and tall windows.
"It does not look modern." Ravi commented, it looked more like the buildings one would see in a historical series or movie.
"That is because it is not. It formerly belonged to Malcolm Darkstone, the 15th-century warlord." Her lips twitched and she looked at Asher, "When he lost the battle of Malnati in 1457, he returned home to hang himself at the foyer."
"Oh! So his ghost is still here, haunting the walls." Sage smirked as he looked at Asher who just raised an eyebrow.
"There is no such thing as a ghost, Ash. Don’t pay any attention to Sage. Besides.." Ravi rubbed his chin, "Even if there were ghosts, it still would not affect you. You are a day student, you would not be staying in the school dormitory."
Asher looked at him bewildered and Ravi chuckled, "Okay. That did not help."
A man soon approached the four of them, "Are you here for the Entrance Examination?" He was wearing a black suit with a pin-up crest at the breast pocket. His black hair was slicked back and he looked extremely professional.
"Lana Myers. Here for the teacher’s interview." She raised her phone to show him the slip. The man took the phone, the doubt in his eyes was all so evident as he looked at Lana’s young face but the invitation was bearing the crest of the school so he nodded, "Please come with me. Your interview is at the East wing." He looked at the remaining three of them and gestured to the foyer where other people were gathering, "The entrance examination is that way. Please head in quickly. The tag number is limited."
