Chapter 187: A promise
It was like watching a metamorphosis happen right in front of his eyes. Those dull hazel eyes transformed in front of him, turning sharp, like the blade of a sword before they settled on him. They instantly softened like a waterfall.
Has Ravi always been this tall?
Arlen knew that something had changed, the aura around Ravi had changed somewhat. All on his own.
Just this morning, Arlen had collected the number of some of the best psychologists in Avalon and had contacted them.
"Post-traumatic stress disorder, also known as war neurosis, is the psychological aftereffects that occur when someone has experienced murder, war, or a tragic accident. Some of the symptoms were memory loss, heart palpitation, nightmares, emotional dissociation, and obsessive recall of the past." That was the ase of the psychologist had told him and many of them had offered advice.
"He could get suicidal. You should bring him to the clinic."
Arlen looked at Ravi’s eyes and he could tell that the darkness and desperation that had filled his eyes yesterday had receded. His eyes were bright, like an unsheathed sword, indescribably strong enough to send chills down one’s spine but Arlen just smiled.
"Ravi." He called again, pulling him into a hug, "You are feeling better." It is not much of a question than it is an observation, "I was so worried."
It did not take a second before he began to act spoiled again.
Ravi rubbed his back, and breathed in the calming scent almost greedily as he spoke "I just remembered some past stuff. Sorry for worrying you but I am better now, I promise."
Arlen pulled away and looked at him, "Ravi, I think you should see a doctor. I would help in any way I can but...I think professional help might be more helpful." He had already prepared more than ten pages to convince Ravi. He blinked his eyes, planning all tactics to act cute and...
