I Am Tired Of Being A Hero

Chapter 162: Let me judge her

(Warning: Depiction of violence)

Ravi had never believed that one day he would think about what was the cruelest way to kill someone. Should he just crush her to death, cause her to decay, how about slowly stabbing her with a thousand needles? He was not trained to torture as a Sentinel, quite the opposite for even the most vile of villains were all met with a quick death, and now, Ravi felt at a loss.

He could cause her to explode. But that was another quick death. Ravi felt as if his head was blank without any of the creative cruelty that he needed right now. Should he call Alya? His ex-lover should have more than a million punishments in her mind but he did not want to go running to her.

He looked at the woman who was in the fetal position shivering. He had just modified the temperature of her body a little.

Kaida felt as if she was in an ice river, she could not move, her blue lips rubbed together as if she wanted to say something but she could not speak.

It was cold. Her limbs were numb from the cold and she could barely feel her feet and her hands. Her organs were shrinking and even though she could clearly see the green leaves, it was as if she was lying on a snow expanse. Her exposed skin was so painful, it was like knives were digging into her skin, cutting across it.

She turned her head to look at the person who was standing across from her, her gaze still clear, infuriating Ravi. There was no remorse, no regret, no guilt, it had never bothered him before but now, he truly wanted her to regret it before he killed her.

"Why here? Hey, why can’t I see?" Sage’s voice instantly echoed.

"Sage, go back." Ravi’s words were final, the command making Sage widen his eye at the unfamiliar tone and pursed his lips but he obeyed and disappeared immediately.

"You should have sent the other person to bring, not Sage," Ravi said, he was not so far gone as not to know that a teenager like Sage should not be witnessing this kind of thing. He forgot his first meeting when the youth had wanted to kill him just because he ignored his words and did not reply when he asked him to.

"I had no choice. You left Reese in the middle of nowhere." His voice was still the same gentle cadence like a fresh breeze, like he did not just watch Ravi kill three people.
