I Am Tired Of Being A Hero

Chapter 101: Another failed attempts

The coffee maker was a great idea, Ravi thought as he sipped what would be his third cup of coffee for the day.

"Excuse me, officer. Can I not do it? Don’t force me." The middle-aged man in front of Ravi said.

Ravi did not speak to him, raising his head to give him a cold look.

The man sighed, stretching his hand to prick his finger with the pin that Ravi had given him before letting the red blood drop on the machine on the table.

Ravi looked at the reader and looked at him, "You can go." There was no reaction, he really fainted.

Ravi picked up the phone, "Draco, we have another one." He said to Draco who zoomed in and sped off with the fainted middle-aged man.

Ravi took another sip of coffee and looked at the queue outside the door, "Next!" The person who came was a beautiful woman in her late thirties, she had a scar on half of her face and a warm aura around her.

"Fill it." Ravi passed her a form, he looked at her for a second, "You are a mutant?"

"Yes. Enhanced strength. Level 1. It helps put food on the table", she explained when she saw Ravi looking at her.

Ravi did not say a word, he just pulled out another pin-up, "Drop your blood on the reader for confirmation and you can go."

Unlike the person who had been so squeamish that Ravi wanted to just kick him out of the office, the woman just smiled and pricked her finger. "It had been more than thirty years since my mother took me to the Ability Identification Department. She bought me an ice cream later." There was a hint of nostalgia in her eyes as her blood dropped on the machine.
