Chapter 83: The verdict



"I am so full." Lisa said as she drank her malt. The three of them walked down the street where they drove their car. Sarah was carrying a small takeaway of food that she had so she could take home to her daughter.

"Their food was really delicious." Sarah said, her voice much lighter than it had been in the morning.

Lisa smiled proudly, "I have been eating there since I was little. Although I have not gone there in a while. Ravi, why did you park so far away?"

"That was your idea." Ravi said it was a few minutes past 3 p.m. They should be heading back to the police station. He had not actually thought this through. His shift would be over at 4 pm and the club would open at 8 p.m. What should he do within the four hours?

He also needs to change. Should he go to the mall? What do people wear to the club nowadays, a simple shirt and trousers would not do, right?

He took out his phone to check when it beeped. He had received a message.

Ravi’s eyes widened when he saw the sender. He rubbed his hand on his clothes before opening the message.

It was a picture of the salad that he had ordered to have with his braised pork rice.

"A delivery came for you, Ravi. Looks delicious."

Ravi looked at the words, reading them carefully before he replied, "You can have it." His brows furrowed.

He was not as upset as he was before but still...
